We were on the road around 11:45am Friday. It was warm but entirely over cast the entire day. We went to the air show in Cape Girardeau Friday evening and gorged ourselves on carnival food.
Saturday we were up at a decent time so we could have breakfast and stop by the HD dealership for a t-shirt. Our stops in Altensberg and Frohna were a blast. We learned alot about Matt’s g-g-grandfather. The woman who runs the historical site in Frohna was beside herself when we told her who Matt is. She had to have a picture and all but begged him to come back for the harvest festival this fall. It sounds like fun and she said they would honor him during their festivities if he does come. It was really fun to watch her gush over how important Martin Stephan was. This is some amazing history there but unless you are Lutheran or from Southern Missouri, it’s probably not that interesting to you.
Missouri highway C is a great road for riding, lots of twists and turns. Too bad we ran into the river at one point and had to double back a bit.

Saturday was a LONG day of riding it seemed and we were both happy to get back.
