I am officially at my wits end with these people. I have the Paypal Plus card from GE Money Bank because they offer reward points that I can use on Paypal purchases. So at the end of May I redeem my points for a $25.00 voucher. Over the next 2 months I attempted to use it without success at a few different sites. I contacted Paypal and they sent me generic directions on how to use the voucher, which were useless to me. I contacted them twice more and was ignored. Last week I FINALLY was given the option to use my voucher only to discover it had EXPIRED. So I call Paypal on Thursday and explained this and was told only GE Money Bank could reinstate the voucher. They also confirmed that Overstock.com is a site that should accept the voucher unless they changed their policy. So today I call GE Money bank and the rep tries telling me I can ONLY use vouchers on Ebay purchases, which is a load of bullshit. He then says the vouchers expire after 6 months. I point out that it’s only been just over 2 months since I activated it. Then he tells me that I have to talk to Paypal. Through clenched teeth I explained AGAIN that I had ALREADY spoke with them and they referred me to GE Money bank. He says he will get them on the phone and talk to them. Well he passed me off and hung up even though he said he wouldn’t. So I explain again the situation and I’m told after 6 months they expire. OMG I want to pull my hair out. He then says that I do have to have GE reinstate the voucher. I am barely containing my screams as he transfers me back. I explain to this rep that I am tired of being yanked around and want a supervisor. After another long wait on hold I am told to call back Monday because they are having a hard time reaching a supervisor. I am going to kick someone’s ass over this I swear to bob. I wasted an hour of my time on the bullshit today alone. I guarantee that regardless of what happens with the voucher, I’m cancelling the card. It has no balance on it and I don’t need the damn thing. The only reason I got it was for the CSJ Newsletters and after that I kept it because the reward points could be useful.

So in short, this bullshit is so not worth the hassle and if you are considering using this card because of the reward points, don’t bother.
