I started this blog back in 2001 because I wanted to keep a journal and writing in a book each day just wasn’t working for me. Over time the blog evolved somewhat and I started posting about anything I found interesting. As is typical in my life, the things I blog about will be all over the map. I’m not one for consistency or routine. I get distracted easily. So one day I may write about feelings I’m struggling with and the next day I’ll only post a photo or song lyrics. One thing has never changed over the years, this blog was always my outlet, for me regardless of whether anyone else reads it or not.

As blogging gained awareness and became more mainstream, the opportunities to make money from your blog increased. I ventured into a couple of these areas, not to make money or become wealthy. I only wanted to cover to my hosting bills. I have several blogs and a photo gallery. I also own and manage a large hobby site. My hosting bill is $75.00/month to cover all the sites I own. I have yet to make even half of that in a month on a consistent basis. My paid blog entries are responsible for that and I only do those at random times when I have some time to kill.

So I hope you see the ads and occasional paid entries as a very small part of my blog and not let it deter you from visiting the site.
