This is about a fundamentalist independent polygamist. They left the sect (there’s a whole mob thing going on there) and don’t believe in the marrying of young girls to old men.


It’s on HBO right now. You can watch it On Demand Last night was Episode 5 and I didn’t know it was that far in! So I went to On Demand and watched all of the episodes back to back. It’s fantastic! I’ve never seen Desperate Housewives but it makes me think of that. There is all this mormon stuff mixed with some great sex scenes!


I’m definitely hooked on this show! I have always liked Bill Paxton. It also stars Jean Tripplehorn, Chloe Soveigny, and a Ginner Goodwin drawing a blank on her last name but she’s my favorite character! She’s the third wife.


If you’ve seen Waterworld, Jean Tripplehorn was in it and the girl with the tattoo on her back, Tina Majorino, she is in Big Love too!


With all of the sex and wildness in Deadwood, Rome and the Sopranos… it’s fascinating to see HBO do a show on the mormon lifestyle. It’s definitely NOT preachy at all.


Another must watch on HBO!! Who needs network tv? Not I!
