Black Friday
This was our first Black Friday shopping trip ever :D There were several good sales at Target that I wanted to take advantage of to kick off my Christmas shopping. That’s right I haven’t started yet
So we decided to get up early to be there when they opened. At 5:30 am the line was past the building and half across the parking lot. We didn’t get in line. We waited until 6:00 and then went to stand out front until the line was inside. We shopped for about 30 minutes and found all the things we wanted and then spent 90 minutes in line waiting to pay.
I’m not sure why people were acting so crazy since Target was offering rainchecks on most items. Anyhow, we went to Linens N Things and picked up a couple more things and then went to have breakfast at Denny’s in O’fallon. I had to return something to Target because I picked up the wrong item and it was 35.00 more than what I planned to buy. We came back to my house and watched movies and cooked dinner together. Matt is gone to Kentucky again. He was only home one day all week and that was yesterday, while I was in Mcleansboro eating with Dad’s mother in law and the gang. The Chick’s were there too and on Sunday night Dad, Charlotte and the twins slept over with us :D
Wednesday I didn’t get to class because the chimney sweep came. Turns out the fireplace in the basment was remodelled half assed and is a fire hazard to actual use. Not shocked??? Huh… me either. So I had him clean the upstairs fireplace to make Matty happy.
That same night I had a dream about being kidnapped from the bank I used to work at, by a mexican guy. My dream book says that means I should change my friends before they embarrass me. Not sure who that may be about but maybe time will tell.
Tomorrow I have a computer discussion group at school so I have to get up early again.
Phoebe has another week in her soft cast and then it comes off and I won’t have to go over and let her out anymore.
We watched three movies:
Friends with Money
Benchwarmers
Cars
Friends with Money was pretty good and Cars was REALLY good :D Benchwarmers was so-so…guess I’m still a little annoyed by Rob Schneider’s attitude problem when he was on Breuer Unleashed. It was also weird to see him playing the role of the macho, cool jock guy instead of the geek he normally plays.
