Mom and I went for a meditation check at TSMO on Saturday but we went shopping first at one of the Indian grocery stores, Ambica. We finally found the Samosas we were looking for but not the Stakelets. We also bought some delish little pastries stuffed with some sort of paste with ginger and nuts. I met an adorable little girl too who just chatted my ear off.
Anyway Sunday I realized that during all this latest mess with Matt, I have not had a single migraine. Not one. And don’t think this hasn’t been stressful for me but I’m handling it so well and am not feeling stressed or miserable. There is only one thing responsible for this and it’s transcendental meditation stress management. I’m taking no meds at all, yet I’m not feeling anxiety or depression. It’s such an amazing feeling but it’s hard for me to explain in words I guess. If you have suffered depression and migraines due to stress you can at least understand what a major change it is for me to be completely off of my migraine meds and anti depressants.
The past couple weeks I have only been meditating once a day which is a no-no . After my check I have been making time again, as it is really important to my health that I keep consistent. Last night during my meditation I kept seeing blue. A light, vibrant blue like I had seen once before. After I opened my eyes I sat on the floor watching the smoke rise from my incense stick. I bet I sat there for like 10 minutes just watching it. It was so soothing. When I finally got up I felt so happy, really just content and light. That feeling continued all through the evening and into today. It’s been awhile since I’ve had that glowing happiness post meditation but it’s so good.
Worth mentioning as well is the fact that my mom told me she had a headache all day Saturday. After we had a 10 minute meditation with Farrokh she told me her headache was GONE.
Blues v. Blackhawks

The club suite we had was freakin SWEET!! I have never attended a sporting event and been in a suite. Free food, free booze, and an awesome view…what’s not to love? The Blues lost by one but it was a fantastic game and the crowd was very energized, much different than the Avalanche game.
I love supporting my fave team but I don’t get why some assholes have to berate fans of the opposing team for no reason. Outside the stadium fans stopped one guy wearing a blackhawks jersey and they were obviously drunk and I heard one of them tell the guy, “I’m not going to hit you” as if the guy was afraid of him. But he was doing the typical drunk guy thing where he thought he had something really interesting to discuss with the guy, when he was just a dickhead in reality. Then about 10 assholes (drunk 20 year old males) on the train were harassing a single blackhawks fan. Being total dicks to him for no reason other than his jersey. Mind you, we lost the game but they insisted on blowing their fucking air horn and chanting “Black Hawks Suck". Everyone on the train was annoyed by their obnoxious behaviour. Looking at them I had to ask how any woman in her right mind would date one of these cretins?? I hoped and prayed when they got off at the Landing that they would be ran over by another train. Other passengers vocalized the same sentiment.
Metro link pulled the same shit as they did with the baseball game but I was smart enough to let the trains destined for ‘Emerson Park’ to go by. Sure enough when I got on the third train, we stopped at Emerson park and there were all the people that Metro link dumped off. Why is the city too stupid to figure out a better train schedule during sporting events??
While on the platform I was people watching of course. I was hypnotized by a girl putting on chap stick. I didn’t count how many times she smeared the chapstick across her bottom lip, but it was so many that when she started on the top lip I had to count along. SEVENTEEN coats of chapstick on her top lip!!! WTF???
I find it interesting how these women dress to attend a hockey game. In stiletto heeled, pointed toe shoes. Why? Can anyone explain this to me? It’s just impractical to have to walk around the stadium dressed like you are a going to a club and it’s freezing cold in there! Stupid whores.
