Counting Crows at Fair St Louis
So Matt and I ended up going to the concert by ourselves. Which is what I wanted all along. :) Turns out this was our first concert together. That’s pretty lame considering we like enough of the same music. Somehow we just don’t go to many concerts. Anyway we had a great time together, especially people watching. It’s was crazy, we could hardly take in all the weirdos. At times we even saw the same freak at the same time.
Then after the show started I thought we were gonna see a fight between some skanks. The best thing had to be the sign language people who were rocking out down front. Watching them air guitar and drum was a hoot.
The fair was a bit disappointing. It’s much smaller than it used to be, fewer vendors and higher prices. The airshow used to be a favorite of ours and that’s been gone for a few years. The Counting Crows were great, as expected. I wish they had played Round Here. That’s probably my favorite after hearing them perform live on The Howard Stern Show. It was amazing!

The fireworks were outstanding! It was romantic to be sure. A perfect night… well until I twisted my stupid ankle on the way back to the truck! I was all excited because we saw this Uhaul that said Kalispell MT. Now I’d never heard of this place until earlier in the week when Matt said that is where we fly in for Scott and Monica’s wedding. So what a fun coincidence to see that Uhaul. UGH I should have just kept going.

Apparently this van ran up on the sidewalk. No one was in it though when we passed but it was still running and the door was opened. An ambulance pulled away as we walked by but I didn’t see any cops. Seems odd they would just leave it running and the door open. You would think that would cause another accident but what do I know. I don’t make a habit of driving my car over sidewalks.
