Flooding causes the road to collapse
I pulled off the interstate to fill up my tank and was shocked to see this:
McKinley? Bridge” title="Tractor-trailer gets stuck after road collapses near McKinley? Bridge” width="284″ height="288″ />
McKinley? Bridge” title="Tractor-trailer gets stuck after road collapses near McKinley? Bridge” width="260″ height="235″ />At first glance I thought the truck itself had some sort of issue, then I realized the road had collapsed beneath it. The fire department was there. These were the best pictures I could get with my cell phone. I’m going to start carrying my purple polaroid digital camera in my car. I was going to sell it or give it away but dammit I’m keeping it for stuff like this. I was there before the stupid news crews.
KMOV was there first and they didn’t even post pictures yet:

(KMOV) – Flash flooding has created some big messes on the roads.
One particularly rough spot is in north St Louis where a street has buckled, causing some traffic concerns.
It happened at 11th and Salisbury around 7:15 a.m. on Wednesday.
This is not far from Interstate 70 and the McKinley? Bridge.
