Have you ever accidentally glued your shoes and socks to your foot?

Gorilla GlueI am envisioning many of you out there nodding your head yes, a little embarrassed to admit you have made this mistake. There is no reason to be embarrassed! It’s more common than you might expect. I can’t tell you how many people out there decide they aren’t quite ready to give up their favorite thrift store shoes just because the liner is coming unstuck. There is nothing wrong with trying to repair the shoes by applying a small amount of Gorilla Glue beneath the liner. It makes perfect sense to put the shoes on to hold the liner in place while the glue sets. It’s confusing to discover that the Gorilla Glue seeped through the liner and into your sock. Removing the sock from the foot can be problematic if the glue has begun to set. It will take some of your skin with it, how much depends on how long you wore the shoes. Some well meaning misers are lucky enough to have a S.O. who will not only laugh uncontrollably at your misfortune but will happily offer to help you wash the glue off of your foot, all the while giggling in amusement.

Sometimes you have to give up the shoes to save your feet.
