What is the proper protocol when passing someone in the hall??
We have a long hallway and often two people are coming towards each other, complete strangers. I am never sure how to react. If I make eye contact too soon I’m forced to stare or look away before they pass me. What is the proper etiquette? What do/would you do?

Smile and make eye contact as soon as you notice them and hold that eye contact until you pass each other and then say hello.

Communifake and pretend you are on the phone or texting/emailing so you don’t come across as rude or over eager.
