The Secret Universe of Names
Someone brought this book to work last week. It was shockingly accurate so I ordered my own copy. The descriptions are based solely on the letters in your name. Here is the entry for my name.
The Popular STC
Gregarious Well-like Capable
Snobbish Tense Demanding
Charisma – 7 out of 10
Career Success – 6 out of 10
Love and Friendship – 9 out of 10
Power – 8 out of 10
When the sassy letter S teams up with the tightly wound tones of the letter T, it evokes the steadfast and stroke characteristics found in the words stable, steely, stiff, stark, statue, stony, strict, stubborn and stoic. Because these heavy-duty overtones are commonly associated with masculinity, most female STC names end with the high-pitched letters I, Y or IE, creating the diminutizing effect found in the words sunny, funny, silly, goofy, happy, zany and preppie.
STCS may not be known for their patience, but their determination and willingness to take risks are legendary. These are the people who work and play hard, and have learned that you can’t steal second when your foot is on first. STCs are straight shooters when it comes to their relationships too, and if there’s something about you that rubs them the wrong way, chances are you will know it immediately. If you can’t handle their heat, stay away from their friction.
Still, STCs have no trouble making friends and can afford to be choosy when it comes to selecting intimate partners. If at the first they seem to be somewhat aloof or indifferent, this is simply symptomatic of being such hard-driven perfectionists. As assertive as they are about their choices, STCs don’t see any great advantage to plunging into things without at least a little bit of research. They are particularly prudent when it comes to spending money and don’t live particularly flashy lives.
There are few careers for which STCs aren’t suited, and their biggest challenge often comes in deciding which one to choose. But STCs are wary about committing to jobs that don’t offer long-term advancement, and many are found in design fields, legal maneuverings and medicine fields. But what suits them best are positions in which they are able to utilize their people skills. More than most, STCs thrive on the tumult of human contact and know that success, without someone to share it, is as hollow as a pumpkin on Halloween.
STCs take less of an emotional approach to their relationships than they do an intellectual one, and potential mates will be carefully vetted against their internal list of specifications. This is consistent with STCs need to maintain a high degree of control in their relationships, and – whether it’s for financial or emotional reasons- the success of many STC marriages will e as a result of their capable stewardship. Their primary goal will be to create an environment in which they can feel completely open and relaxed, and will return the favor with unconditional love and support.
