Matt being laid off has turned out to be not such a bad thing after all. We are rarely able to travel because his work schedule makes it impossible to plan any sort of little weekend getaway. We are making the most of his time off this summer. Matt is so fun to travel with, even when it’s a long ass car ride. We are in Madison, staying at the Hilton Gardens (this is not an invitation to come visit). Really nice place too! I’m not feeling great after eating a very average lunch at a cafe. I think the french onion soup made me queasy. We stopped in Janesville to visit Matt’s grandma’s grave site since it was buried in snow last time we tried. We are getting ready to go out for ginger ale and Leines. Then at 6pm we are going to Mike and Jess’s new house to have dinner with them. Eileen left us a great gift bag of goodies including some really cute flip flops for me….exactly like the pair I bought to take to Montana. Eileen has great taste! No big plans for tomorrow during the day, yet.
