Matty got up at 3am to load the truck and by 4am we were on the road. About 12 hours later we arrived in the French Quarter. It took us a bit to get the truck parked and walk back to the hotel. We cleaned up and then walked to a nearby Bar/Grill, The three legged dog, to get something to eat. I’m pretty sore and exhausted so we came back to the room to relax. Not sure what we are going to do tomorrow, we will decide in the morning.

My surgery went well but I’m still having some discomfort in my upper back. My incisions are healing but my stomach is still kinda tender. Matt has been a true saint in taking care of me this whole week. I can’t imagine having gone through this week of recovery without him home with me. Both our families have been very supportive and caring as well. His mom sent me a care package of fun stuff and some cookies for both of us.
