The boy didn’t get the vacation he wanted, none of it. Instead he got two weeks in February. That totally wrecks all our tentative plans for how we wanted to spend our summer. Instead of letting it go to waste we decided to go to Mardi Gras! So we will be spending a romantic and hopefully wild week in New Orleans for Valentines Day and Mardi Gras. Not too far off either. That’s not exactly ideal financially but what are ya gonna do right? Not sure if we are driving or flying. We were told not to bother driving but the flights are hella expensive and we can park for free at the hotel if we get in early enough. We were just going to leave the truck parked and walk, sounds like that’s your only real option anyway. The hotel is the St Pierre and its two blocks from bourbon street. Mardi Gras here we come!!
